Granger High School

We are thrilled to announce that Granger High School was selected as a recipient of the Nourishing Champions Grant for the 2024-2025 school year! This award, a partnership between Champions of Change and Safeway, is aimed at enhancing the health, well-being, and performance of high school athletes across Washington by addressing critical nutritional needs.

Thanks to the Nourishing Champions Grant, Granger High School student-athletes have been receiving nutritious meals during away competitions this school year. Our fall sports athletes have already felt the positive impact, staying fueled and energized on the road!

With nearly 50% of students statewide qualifying for free or reduced lunch, it's more important than ever to ensure that our athletes have access to the food and hydration necessary to succeed both on and off the field. This grant is helping to bridge that gap, providing essential funding for nutritious snacks and meals that fuel our Spartans' energy, recovery, and overall athletic performance.

Through this initiative, Granger High School received funding to directly support our sports teams, allowing us to:

-Boost Participation by alleviating financial barriers related to nutrition,

-Reduce Health Risks and potential injuries,

-Enhance Athletic Performance by offering tailored nutritional support.

This funding not only promotes health equity within our school but also strengthens the sense of community pride and support for our student-athletes.
