🌌 Granger High School is reaching for the stars! 🌌

We are excited to announce that Stephanie King has been awarded the McCarthey Dressman Education Foundation Academic Enrichment Grant (2025–2026) for her project “To Infinity and Beyond.”

Through this grant, our students will:

Collaborate with Hanford’s Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory and the Yakima Astronomy Club.

Gain access to real-world scientific tools and mentorship, including a new telescope, binoculars, and CCD cameras.

Explore authentic STEM research while building skills in language, culture, and communication.

This initiative is especially meaningful for our Spartan community—serving a student body that is over 90% Hispanic, 95% low-income, and 31% multilingual learners. It will provide a new, inclusive pathway into science and research for students who are often underrepresented in these fields.

We are so proud of Ms. King for bringing this opportunity to Granger and can’t wait to see our students aim for the stars! 🚀✨
